Case Synopsis

It is 1948, the City of Angels, and you are a probationary cautionary auxiliary investigator for the Global Detective Agency. Three grisly murder mysteries have come across your desk. Are you up to the task?

In Lights, Camera, Murder! movie star Clara Rose and her estranged husband have been shot to death on the dusty backlot of Orpheum Pictures. Classic murder-suicide? Hollywood rivalries that became too real? Mob debts unpaid? Or perhaps something far more sinister…

In Death in La-La Land the unveiling of a new rollercoaster has gone tragically wrong, with mayoral candidate Bradley Rideout flying out of his seat, through the air, and into Pirate Poppy’s Popcorn Stand — bloody kernels everywhere. Can you solve this mystery full of clowns, carnies and carnage before you yourself become the next victim?

In Lucha Muerte! horrified witnesses to a bingo-hall massacre report a gunman wearing the iconic costume of El Angel Rojo — local hero of Mexican wrestling. And now it is up to you —  to venture into the wild world of Lucha Libre, where heroes and villains alike keep their identities hidden. Is the Red Angel actually a demon in disguise? Or are there even more insidious forces at play?

This special box-set contains three separate murder mysteries and everything you need to solve them: evidence to examine, maps to follow, autopsy and witness reports to study, suspects to interrogate, puzzles to crack and codes to break, as well as three thrilling pulp novels to narrate your progress through the hard-boiled streets of Los Angeles. But please remember: though an exciting opportunity, discretion is a must. The walls have ears.

And as we say at the GDA: Our eyes never sleep.

Solid Way to kill part of the week in quarantine.

To all of those here in 2020, I got this to entertain the household stuck inside and it worked like a charm. Everyone got invested in the story and was talking about each chapter for days. We even roped in a friend on a video call for one of them and they loved it, face to face is better though. Thanks for the fantastic product.

Awesome

These were all really fun, and a few of the puzzles really stumped us for a while. I wish that the “first one” chronologically wasn’t the hardest to solve, and instead they got harder as you went through the storyline, but it was super enjoyable to play!

So so fun!

I got these when my work closed due to the covid outbreak and I wanted something different to do in my spare time. These were so much fun and creative, I was able to do them with my sister and finding evidence and progressing through the story was so cool. We were excited to see what was coming next and if, in the end, we solved it. I just ordered Hastur and I can’t wait to try that one out too!

This is great fun. We loved the mystery and work it took to solve the murders. I would love to get more like these.
