    Synopsis

    Deep in the Guatemalan rainforest, there is a sacred Mayan artifact that reveals the existence of supernatural creatures thought to be only legends. Archaeologist Terry Ortiz, who is on her first official dig, stumbles upon this ancient secret. She must hide it from her senior colleagues and search for someone who will believe her… someone who can protect these hidden beings from those who wish to expose them.

    This Mayan adventure comes to life through field notes, personal observations, and password protected evidence. Terry recounts a tale of discovery and disbelief, of ancient royalty and modern loyalty. In the end, she must choose who to trust with this sacred artifact, and with the lives of those beings whose existence it reveals.

    Amazing!

    I received spoilers for this awhile ago and was still amazed by everything in this experience. This is my third experience with MPC (Weeping Book and John Augur) I enjoyed the other two very much but this has been my favorite! The point of view the story is told to you from a young girl (who some might not like) but certainly was a great way to tell the narrative. "Activities" are included that actually are educational and I enjoyed learning something new. People of all ages can enjoy this, keep an open mind. The final artifact is one of the best and I will proudly display on my shelf.
