THE DEMON JAR
For thousands of years, since ancient Celtic times, the Daughters of Naamah waged a secret war against a demonic entity whose only purpose is to corrupt humankind. Using rituals older than anyone can remember, they managed to weaken the demon enough to trap its essence in magically-sealed jars.
From priestess to initiate, they passed down strict instructions to keep a vigilant watch on the jars to ensure that they remained intact. This was the Daughters' most important task.
They failed.
In 2015, an archeologist snuck past the Daughters' defenses and discovered a secret chamber; possessed by a demonic force, he began to smash the clay jars within.
One of the Daughters managed to stop him, at great cost, and to save the remaining jars. But those jars are the only things standing between the world and its ruin.
There are only a few dozen Demon Jars left intact in this world. The seals are crumbling. They must be renewed, using the Daughters' secret ritual.
Will you answer the call? Will you keep the world safe?
In addition to the impious and eponymous “Demon Jar”, you will receive a cache of artifacts and instruments that will enable you to perform the Daughters' ritual to keep the demon trapped.
Audience
The Demon Jar is an intense horror experience. It is not appropriate to send to anyone who might be sensitive to disturbing material, and is recommended for those 16 and older. It includes fictional occult rituals and objects, and therefore may not be appropriate for all audiences.

So. Cool.
This was my first package from MPC, and I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. The crate was indeed uncooperative (the lid ended up splitting despite my care with both a small prybar and a screwdriver). The packaging material was a pain to clean up (but authentically not made of styrofoam!). The contents, however, were fascinating.

A terrifyingly wonderful birthday gift!
I just received "The Demon Jar" as a birthday present from my husband. This is the second Mysterious Package he has given me (the first was Call of Cthulhu) and I am thrilled! The attention to detail is exquisite. Such fun to read through all the materials and maybe I'll even try the ritual ;)
