everything, per usual, down to the smallest details is thought through and perfect. No corners cut here.
I’m not a “gamer” per se - I know what they are and have sat in on a couple back in college. My son likes them and we thought he’d like this as a gift. Buying this was pretty easy - the website was easy to navigate and it was easy to choose the game I bought. I was worried that I had to provide additional multi-sided dice, but the game came with everything he needed to play the game.
The package arrival was a little cloudy - I wasn’t sure where my package was or when it would arrive (I needed to download a third-party app to track the package and I didn’t want to do that…). I don’t think this is reflective of the seller - shipping in November or December is always a question mark.
The crate was well packaged and protected. The game came in a hinged wooden box (think large cigar box) that looked pretty cool.
All the props were very cool and decently made - (aged and themed up - definitely a good detail) and all the maps, rule books and character sheets were well produced. I don’t expect this stuff to hold up to daily use, but I think they are awesome and add to the theme of the game.
Gameplay: I don’t know - this was a gift for my son. Based on the detail of the rule book and quality of props, I expect the game to provide sufficient challenge to be fun.
My son plays these games on-line with friends who live in other states…. I don’t see this as an issue - I think navigating on-line play is feasible without sacrificing the quality of the hands-on props.
I didn’t…
