Ah, summer camp. Your favourite time of year. Swimming in the lake, s’mores and songs by the fire, spending time with friends, the quiet darkness of the forest…
And then, in autumn, you get a package in the mail from your favourite counselor Remy. Camp Moonforest has been shut down in a hurry, a note tells you, and the grounds are abandoned. Something has happened. Nothing is as it should be. Remy needs your help.
Some of the items in the package aren’t as they should be, either.
That forest was almost too quiet, if you think about it.
The perfect introduction to mystery and intrigue for younger adventurers, Camp Moonforest is inspired by classic 1980s coming-of-age tales from Stand By Me to E.T. to Stranger Things. It's right on-trend! (Intrigued but not quite sure? Check out the trailer!)
My two grandchildren loved solving the problem. They worked hard for one day and they were so excited with the result. They would have really liked having more clues to be sent before leading up to the results.
The kids absolutely had fun figuring out the mystery and kept them busy for a chunk of time when we were at our cabin. I just wished they delivered it earlier when they said they would, but I guess better late than sorry. The best thing is they can reuse it for others.
I purchased this for my daughter for her 11th birthday. She was super excited to open the crate and get started! This was very well executed, and the props were perfect. Thanks for a great mother/ daughter experience! Please make more like this targeted for the tweens!
Santa brought the Camp Moonforest box for our puzzle-loving 9-year-old daughter this Christmas and it was a huge hit! She spent every free minute that day working on solving the case. There were a few items that took longer than others to work through but she was that much more excited to solve those clues. The items in the package were all nice quality and had we made copies of the worksheet it could be enjoyed multiple times over. Just ordered the new package and look forward to more in the future for our kids!
