Heavily narrative with few puzzles. High difficulty.
Rise Of The Cult: Carcosa
For generations, the rumours have persisted: a secret society honouring the Yellow King, seeking the destruction of this world and transcendence to another.
The evidence is subtle, but if you know what to look for, it’s everywhere. It grows in cracks; it pervades the edges and seeps into the dark places. It makes its mycelial way through the rot at the heart of the world. And the Yellow King’s cultists multiply like mushrooms, and gather together to burn it all to ash, from which a new and terrible existence will arise…
We came across some shocking materials, lost inside a shipping warehouse amid dusty boxes and forgotten packages, and we feel duty-bound to get that material to its intended recipient. Even we are somewhat unsettled by the strange happenings surrounding this discovery. Enclosed within is “evidence” of an unsupportable nature and a story too improbable to be true. Sound minds assure us there is nothing to fear, but implausible opinions remain so only until they become widespread.
We leave it with you to decide for yourself what is true and whom to believe.
This experience is not appropriate to send to anyone who might be sensitive to the disturbing material and is recommended for those 16 and older. Our goal is to create an eerie but enjoyable experience, not to frighten vulnerable individuals. If you have any doubts about whether your recipient will enjoy such an experience, please do not send them Rise of the Cult, or make sure you can supervise their experience.
I always love the little details put into each package. Going through the mail and picking out all the little secrets and trying to decode the riddles was the highlight of my week. Cant wait to order another
As a mother, I have repeatedly told my boys (15 & 13 year olds) that their mail is not private until age 16. As a protection against today's society, I open all packages and make sure it's "safe" and "appropriate" before giving it to them. Only one time have I taken something away from a boy - an inappropriate letter from an "adult" and then a stern lecture to the boy about giving away his address online. That was a fiasco.
Having said that, the package arrived today. Completely baffled, I gently opened it to see WTH it was. Nice packaging. It took me close to 30 minutes to figure out that it was, indeed, the first package in the mystery that his father and I had ordered for him for his Christmas present. I can't wait to see how the packaging is done for the other boy's Christmas mystery surprise!
LOVE the packaging - right down to the "authentic" letter from a real company apologizing for mail disruption!!!!! We will be doing this again - if the boys like what was ordered for them this time.
13 year old boy package deliver - Carcosa, Rise of the Cult. Yes, I did repackage it just as awesome as you had it - I was careful to open it and used clear tape to put it back together again.
I just finished this experience after taking a couple months off for nice Summer weather. I had hit a "Biden" moment, where I knew how the process worked and I could obtain the first level of decoded letters, but I just couldn't see the message. When I picked it back up again, there were the answers staring back at me! The final twist was GREAT - I laughed for quite a while - then pulled down all the shades - just in case.
I definately give this experience 'Two Tentacles Up' and rate it just below 'Hastur' as my favorite, so far. I have 'Nyarlathotep' on pre-order. Don't let me down.
Oh, and my answer to the final message - see photo
